One of the most exciting projects we've tackled is our Engineering Design Project (EDP). Students have been working in teams to identify real-world clients who need something built, fixed, imagined, or redesigned. With our new equipment, they can bring their ideas to life—whether it's designing assistive devices, prototyping eco-friendly products, or reengineering everyday objects to improve functionality. Seeing their creativity come to life has been incredible!\r\n\r\nThe moment our students walked into the room and saw the new equipment, their eyes lit up with excitement! Many of them couldn't believe they finally had access to real industrial tools for hands-on learning. One student even said, \"It feels like a real engineering lab now!\" Another immediately started brainstorming ideas for projects, eager to get to work. The energy and enthusiasm in the room were truly unforgettable!\r\n\r\nNow that our classroom is fully equipped, our next steps involve diving deeper into builds and reverse engineering challenges. Students will be building from blueprints and breaking down existing products to understand how they function. These projects will help them develop problem-solving skills, teamwork, and technical expertise—all crucial for their future STEM careers. We can't wait to share updates as our students continue to innovate and grow, all thanks to the generosity of our supporters!","fullyFundedDate":1731500310316,"projectUrl":"project/forge-the-future-grow-a-stem-program/8926739/","projectTitle":"Forge the Future: Grow a Stem Program","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Helmick","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8179618_orig.jpg?crop=722,723,x0,y60&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1645197624865","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8179618"},{"teacherId":8179618,"projectId":8930356,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generosity and supporting our students to have the classroom learning facilities they need to explore the STEM fields.
