I wanted you to hear from her: \r\nThank you to everyone who donated so we could get these mindful stretching mats for our Physical Education program. Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade have used them and the overwhelming majority have enjoyed it. Our students have been so excited to use them (once they figured out how to unroll them and get them to stay unrolled!) and after just the first time using them, have been asking and asking if we can use them again. Even some students who I thought might give me pushback about mindful stretching and using the mats have surprised me and asked when we'll use them again. Our district has a lot of students who really benefit from having some guided relaxation practices where they can focus on a calm body and brain, which will help them in so many areas of their lives well into the future. We are using the mats for whole group activities, during fitness stations, and for the cool down. I am so thankful to everyone who donated and I hope you know how much you have impacted our students and their well being! From the bottom of my heart- thank you, thank you, thank you!!
