One of my favorite moments was watching them examine leaves up close and share their observations like little scientists.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic tiles have been amazing for hands-on building and problem-solving during play. The laminating machine and laminating sheets are for used to make our projects last longer within the classroom. It takes a great deal of time to create materials such as name tags and shelf tags. With preschool children these materials get alot of use and tear up over time. With the ability to laminate them before children use them, they get a longer life span, sometimes even an entire school year.\r\n\r\nThe children love when we create new games for them to use. With a recent theme of transportation, a teacher created a parking garage with alphabet letters that were the same ones as the beginning letter of the children in the classroom's name. The same letters were attached to the top of Hotwheel cars for the children to match to the correct parking spaces. All of the materials were laminated before children began using them. The materials were still in good shape after the two week theme thanks to the use of the materials provided in this Donorchoose project.","fullyFundedDate":1765589325676,"projectUrl":"project/longer-lasting-learning-materials/9940628/","projectTitle":"Longer Lasting Learning Materials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Vickie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5266769"},{"teacherId":5266769,"projectId":9939894,"letterContent":"My students love their new STEM materials. The Engineer a Coaster Activity Kit was a big hit. The students worked together to build different paths for the pieces to follow. They attempted to make it into a certain spot with their spinners. When the piece would not land where they anticipated, the students did not give up, rather they would adjust and try it again. As the teacher, it was nice to see persistence at work.\r\n\r\nAnother big hit was the Build An Animal from the STEM builder series. The children used the building cubes and building cards to assemble different animals. Some of the children then used their imaginations to create animals on their own.\r\n\r\nAs our theme has moved onto bugs and insects, we plan on using our STEM materials to create bugs and insects along with their habitats. Using the STEM Bridge Builders set and the STEM Learning Pipe Tubes the children will be able to add a new level to their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1764958441049,"projectUrl":"project/encouraging-young-engineers/9939894/","projectTitle":"Encouraging Young Engineers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Vickie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5266769"},{"teacherId":8165282,"projectId":9953894,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom.
