I was so happy to pack up their bags full of a Summer Bridge workbook, sunglasses, bubbles, a journal & smencil, summer toys and a brand new Junie B book. There will be lots for them to choose from that will keep their brains and bodies learning and moving this summer. I have received a couple of photos from their families of the children working in the workbooks and playing with their things this summer, and they are smiling in the pictures! \r\nI truly appreciate your support and dedication to this project every year. It's hard to say goodbye to each class after working so closely with them for almost a year, but sending them off with such fun and useful tools and toys always makes it a little easier. \r\nThank you for your constant support and love towards my firsties and myself! My firsties love to play games, and with the materials from this grant, I was able to make games for every standard that they will learn this year. All I have to do is grab the folders for the standard that I'm teaching, and the games that I printed & laminated are neatly organized and ready to play. The children can play alone, with a partner or in a small group, and there are different levels of play so that I can differentiate depending on the needs of the group. \r\nThis grant helped me with all the materials needed to play the games like spinners, dice and erasers for game pieces. The ink, cardstock and file folders were all used to create the games. I laminated everything helping to make sure that I will be able to use these games over and over again. \r\nPlease know that you made a difference in my classroom, and my students are loving every moment of game time!","fullyFundedDate":1715656303432,"projectUrl":"project/its-game-time/8389940/","projectTitle":"It's Game Time!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Scheidegger","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2362008_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1505174502424","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/cscheidegger"},{"teacherId":8674495,"projectId":8532991,"letterContent":"My students have loved using the new materials in our classroom. They were so excited when they saw the new supplies we received. My students love using the headphones to listen to reading. In prior years, my students would often come in without headphones which were on their supply lists so being given a classroom set of headphones has allowed all my students to participate in class this year. The listening station is an especially important station in my classroom for my students who are learning English who need exposure to hearing vocabulary words in English. \r\n\r\n\tMy students have been able to use the organization cart for their word work station. I am able to differentiate to meet all the needs of my students by creating different work for each group and I can keep this organized with the cart I received. The chart paper has been a great tool to help create visuals for my students to use and remember key details about the days' lessons that they can refer back to each day! \r\n\r\n Thank you so much for the materials we received.
