I have been able to get so much use out of the materials already. Not only am I able to use them with individual interventions, I am also using them to support whole classrooms with fine motor kids/ resources. \r\n\r\nSpecifically, I was able to provide a SPED classroom with motor bags to work on prewriting skills. The dry erase crayons are great to break (although sad) and use to develop writing grasp and to write on laminated worksheets to practice prewriting strokes. So, it also helps save some trees by allowing me to reuse worksheets! \r\n\r\nI have used the tactile tracing letters so much with so many kids. These have allowed for motivating components in a less motivating task of writing. The students genuinely enjoy getting to trace the letter then practice writing it with the dry erase crayons and find the magnets on the board. \r\n\r\nLastly, the donut fine motor game has been the biggest hit. Kids are motivated to write the orders and play the game with the tongs. I have been able to adapt this game to meet their individual needs and have seen huge progress since! \r\n\r\nThank you for your support!!!","fullyFundedDate":1734456531056,"projectUrl":"project/playful-precision-enhancing-fine-motor/8818235/","projectTitle":"Playful Precision: Enhancing Fine Motor Skills Through Multisensory Play","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Seastone","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7574337"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_84049","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":172,"numTeachers":17,"percentFrplEligible":90,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":76,"percentWhite":5,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"10.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":80.0,"schoolId":84049,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Eastgate Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Eastgate Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/ohio/columbus-city-school-district/eastgate-elementary/84049"}
