The students absolutely love the ABC locks as they pick a lock with a picture on it, figure out the beginning sound of the picture and then find that key to unlock the lock. The students work in groups to try to unlock all of the letters/sounds. Another favorite is the ABC puzzles. Again, the students look at the pictures on the puzzle pieces and match them to the beginning sound to complete the puzzles.\r\nThe ABC sound magnet pictures allow the students to sort pictures by their beginning sounds. We have used this activitiy at the teacher reading group table with my struggling students. The students will take a magnet, figure out the beginning sound, and put the magnet under the correct letter. We have also put out all of the magnets and had the students match the ABC magnets to the correct letter that is written on a cookie sheet. The students feel successful that they can figure out the beginning sounds of words. \r\nFinally, they love the ABC fishing game where they are able to catch a fish and match the upper case letter to the lower case letter. Thank you so much for donating to this project! It will not only help my class this year, but also classes in the future as they will also be able to use these materials in future years.!","fullyFundedDate":1764543035267,"projectUrl":"project/abc-work-with-me/9933753/","projectTitle":"ABC Work With Me","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dolin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3381412"},{"teacherId":6938954,"projectId":9511154,"letterContent":"Students and staff from 10 different classes were able to enjoy our Virtual Author Visits in November and December. They were absolutely wonderful! Students were able to draw along with two of the authors (see photos!) \r\n Knowing that these events were coming, the libraries were not able to keep the books by these authors on the shelves for the whole first semester! I had one 3rd grader tell me that he was \"sooooo into The Wild Robot and Peter Brown.\" He has done more reading than I've ever seen him do!\r\n I hope to repeat this event again very soon. Because of your donation, I will be able to do just that.\r\n\r\nThe supplies you've helped fund will make an immediate difference in my students' daily learning. Dry erase markers, desk stickers, pencils, crayons, and markers will allow us to make lessons interactive and creative. A dependable pencil sharpener will keep us prepared, while laminating pouches will help me design reusable learning tools tailored to each student's needs. Organizational folders and headphones will give students the structure and focus they need to succeed. Sensory-friendly light covers and fidget tools will create a calm, supportive space where every learner can feel comfortable and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nThese resources will help my students build confidence, stay engaged, and reach their goals. Most importantly, your support shows them that there are people who believe in them and their potential.\r\n\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in a classroom where every child matters and every success—big or small—is celebrated.","fullyFundedDate":1754660816763,"projectUrl":"project/tools-for-success-supporting-every-lear/9295370/","projectTitle":"Tools for Success: Supporting Every Learner","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Brooks","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4606684_orig.jpg?crop=1169,1170,x0,y382&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1619538906872","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4606684"},{"teacherId":4606684,"projectId":9220214,"letterContent":"We are so grateful for your generosity and support of our classroom!
