We are so excited to try sublimation, however, we are still waiting on a sublimation printer. In the meantime, we are going to team up with another classroom and learn how to use a cricut cutter cut out vinyl designs that the students will each have the chance to either make or download so that they can bring home a custom cup as a gift this year for someone. Hopefully by the beginning of next school year, we will have a sublimation printer and be able to do this project to the full level that we would like to do. Try it items you brought to our classroom. Our students continue to enjoy learning about the different treats, the ingredients they use, and the countries they come from. It has been such a nice and different addition to our Try It Friday's. I am especially proud of how our students are willing to try new things, and are open to different cultures. We've even noticed that their vocabulary and approach to new things other than food have been affected by this tradition of ours every week. They are becoming more open to different cultures and interested in learning about others and their backgrounds. More than that, they realize that trying new things isn't scary, and although we don't always like what we try, we are better people for having experienced it.
