So far, we've used our new chart paper for anchor charts in Math and Reading. These are great visual references for our learning. The best part is that they can be repositioned around the classroom without being damaged. We've also used our sentence strips for reading and writing activities, such as word sorts to recognize patterns in words. Thank you so much for making these activities possible. Your kindness and generosity have truly made such a difference for our students. It may seem like a small thing, but having snacks available throughout the day has had such a big impact on the way our classroom feels and functions. Our students are happier, more focused, and ready to learn because they know they can grab something to eat when they need it. For some kids, that snack gives them just the energy boost they need to get through a tough math lesson or stay alert during reading time. For others, it's the comfort of knowing that they're cared for and supported by people who want to see them succeed. It is very moving to see them choosing a new favorite book because they are able to see themselves in the story. Girls have especially identified with the characters in \"Hair Love\". They point to the pictures and say, \"That's me!\" My students who speak Spanish in their homes enjoy sharing \"Green is a Chile Pepper\" with their friends to teach them the Spanish words for colors. They have so many wonderful choices in literature now and it's all thanks to you! The multi-cultural puppets are a hit! My students quickly found the ones they identify with.
