I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you for your generous donation of the \"Touching Spirit Bear\" novels to our 7th grade students. Your contribution has made a remarkable impact on their learning experience.\r\nThe students have thoroughly enjoyed reading the novel and have engaged deeply with its themes of empathy, resilience, and personal growth. It has sparked meaningful discussions in the classroom, and many have shared how the story has inspired them to reflect on their own lives and choices.\r\n\r\nAs a culminating activity, the students had a fantastic time completing their final project on Cole's transformation throughout the novel. They creatively reflected on his learning experience through the lens of circle justice, sharing their insights and interpretations in a way that highlighted their understanding of the story's powerful messages. It was incredibly rewarding to see their enthusiasm and the depth of their reflections.\r\n\r\nWe are truly grateful for your support and commitment to enhancing our students' education. Students learned to connect their own experiences to those of the protagonist in the novel and also evaluate how people are capable of change. \r\n\r\nStudents completed a variety of assignments during this unit including journal entries, class/student led discussions, character studies, comprehension checks, and creative projects.
