We use them during our morning arrival time, which sets a calm, productive tone while students ease into learning. There were audible gasps and so many \"Are these really for us?!\" moments. They were eager to explore every bin. What I loved most was how quickly they shifted from excitement to focus. Even students who are typically hesitant in whole-group lessons immediately found a place to shine.\r\n\r\nBecause of our donors, these bins are more than just a morning activity—they are building critical thinking, perseverance, and teamwork. The next steps for our students include connecting our STEM Bin challenges more directly to our science standards. We are beginning a unit on force and motion, and students will use the building materials to design ramps and test how slope affects speed and distance.
