The anticipation of the un-boxing of our new items at the end of each delivery day was enormous! Getting a small glimpse of our new items had the students bounding into the classroom the next day to explore these great resources your generous donations helped provide. \r\n\r\nAs time has passed, our excitement to create, learn and work together with our new resources has not dwindled. We use the resources you so generously provided for us in so many of our daily activities. I have been able to incorporate the blocks and building materials into our math, science, literacy and independent play.\r\n\r\nWe recently used the magnetic blocks to introduce tens frames and it made the learning so much more concrete for my students. They were able to manipulate and think through these concepts with real world examples that mirrored the images they saw two-dimensionally in our math work. \r\n\r\nThe theme we are working on currently is a building unit and the blocks have been essential to our learning and discovery. We have read several versions of \"The Three Little Pigs\" and the children have been using the blocks to create the setting and retell the story. Hearing their giggles and the application in their learning brings me such joy.\r\n\r\nI am so grateful for the kindness you have shown our classroom. The excitement and energy that came with receiving our materials has not faded and continues to grow.
