They said, \"it feels Christmas-y!\" Like everything in our room is magical! My students were just in disbelief as they walked into our room with all of the new lighting and calming materials. I was so overwhelmed with their reaction. My students love the new breathing balls and the sensory materials. We are learning new breathing strategies and these materials are loving this stuff. \r\n\r\nThe next steps for my project are to continue making a classroom that is not your typical classroom but instead is a place where students can't wait to go and learn while being inclusive. The students can't wait to see what I pull out of the bins and the LOVE it when I pull out a book to read. We organized books in the bins, created a teacher helper bin where students are responsible for teaching, and we organized student literacy group bins. \r\nMy students love listening to the books and they are so excited. When we get new books, I love to build the excitement prior to reading.
