As soon as we opened them, the excitement was contagious. The students eagerly applied the textured mindful stickers to the bottom corners and attached the bands that hold their paper in place. They were genuinely amazed that people who didn't even know them would be kind enough to support our classroom in this way.\r\n\r\nThese drawing boards are already proving to be incredibly useful for a variety of projects. In particular, they're going to be a game-changer for our life drawing classes. The boards allow us to move our workspace outside or to different areas of the school. In the past, we attempted this a few times, but the rough sidewalk would tear holes in students' artwork. Now, with these smooth, sturdy boards and the secure bands, we can work outside—even in windy conditions—without worry.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead to the fall, I'll be teaching advanced art students along with my current classes. These students will be working on independent projects after exploring a range of materials and techniques. Having the flexibility to work in various settings will be a huge advantage for them, and I know they'll greatly appreciate it.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for your generous donations. Your support is already making a meaningful difference, and we're so grateful to have these resources in our classroom!","fullyFundedDate":1746645590558,"projectUrl":"project/create-outside-the-box/9313532/","projectTitle":"Create Outside the Box!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Roberts","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3973859_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y30&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753587636594","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/carrolltabart"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_1899","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2022,"numTeachers":117,"percentFrplEligible":40,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":22,"percentWhite":53,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":16,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"17.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":76.8,"schoolId":1899,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Wake Forest High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Wake Forest High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/wake-county-public-school-system/wake-forest-rolesville-high-school/1899"}
