The students in 2nd grade at Holly Springs Elementary School look forward to and are very excited when new issues arrive! They always choose to read their Storyworks magazine during free choice reading!\r\n My class just finished two fun projects using our Storyworks magazines. After learning about sound in Science we read, using our Storyworks, about whether we would rather have Elephant ears or Rabbit ears! We then wrote our first opinion pieces! My students had so much fun sharing their opinions with their classmates! We now have them hanging in the hallway!\r\n The second project we completed was writing our first letter. We read about Bobby the dog and how he got lost. He walked from Indiana all the way back to Oregon where his owners found him! We had such fun pretending we were Bobby and writing about our cross country adventure.\r\n Without your help these fun experiences would never have happened!
