Since the rug arrived, it has quickly become an important part of our daily routines and a meaningful space for our students.\r\n\r\nThe rug provides a comfortable and welcoming area where students can gather together for lessons, discussions, and read‑alouds. Having a designated meeting space has helped students focus their attention, listen respectfully to one another, and feel a stronger sense of community. Students are more engaged during whole‑group instruction because they are able to sit comfortably and clearly see the teacher and learning materials.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the rug has supported social‑emotional growth. It gives students a shared space to collaborate, practice turn‑taking, and build relationships with their peers. Many students feel calmer and more secure when sitting on the rug, which has led to smoother transitions and a more positive classroom environment.\r\n\r\nThe rug has also enhanced our literacy learning. Students enjoy gathering on the rug for storytelling, phonics lessons, and independent or partner reading. This cozy space encourages a love of reading and helps students associate learning with comfort and enjoyment.\r\n\r\nOverall, our new classroom rug has made a meaningful difference in how students learn, interact, and feel in our classroom.
