The snacks you helped provide have become a daily comfort for them. Many of my students stop by my room before school or before their lunch period to pick out a snack of their choice, and for some, this is the only thing they'll have until later in the day. With so many of our families still recovering from Hurricane Helene, having something consistent, reliable, and theirs has meant more than I can put into words. You've helped meet a basic need, and it's made a noticeable difference in their energy, focus, and confidence.\r\n\r\nTheir reaction when everything first arrived was priceless—true excitement. Something as simple as snacks felt like a big deal to them, and it reminded me how much our kids carry with so little complaint. The Play-Doh was actually a funny surprise buy on my end; I wasn't sure how high schoolers would feel about it, but they ended up loving it. When I pull students for small-group testing, so many of them use the Play-Doh to stay calm and focused. It has become a quiet tool that helps them self-regulate during assessments, and it's made those testing moments smoother and less stressful for them.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, your support allows me to continue creating a space where students feel safe, welcomed, and cared for. We're currently working through several assessments and targeted lessons, and having these resources helps students show what they truly know without hunger or stress getting in the way. Thank you for seeing their needs and for giving them something that has had both practical and emotional impact. Your kindness has been felt every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1757895438969,"projectUrl":"project/a-bite-of-kindness/9623639/","projectTitle":"A Bite of Kindness","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mirones","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9925960_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757901959368","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9925960"},{"teacherId":10189638,"projectId":9624466,"letterContent":"I want to thank you again for contributing to my \"Curious Minds+Full Bellies= Mathematics Success\" project. Because you contributed these snacks, I literally see my students more able to focus in class for multiple reasons. The obvious one is that it eases their hunger, and evidence shows that being hungry is correlated to a lack of success in the classroom. \r\n\r\nBut this snack donation has brought more than just a reprieve from being hungry. It reassures my students that our classroom is a safe place to be just who they are, even if they are hungry or do not have all of the cool clothes, etc. It is clear to me that my most at-risk are more engaged and willing to put themselves out there to even try. They are growing in confidence and skills. It is also clear how meaningful it is to them to know that folks outside of our school walls genuinely care and want them to have their needs met. \r\n\r\nEach week, I refresh a box of snack options from the stash you contributed to. Students' faces light up when the box has been filled. And every day in every period, multiple students quietly head to be box, grab a snack, and engage in learning.","fullyFundedDate":1757360060017,"projectUrl":"project/curious-minds-full-bellies-mathemati/9624466/","projectTitle":"Curious Minds + Full Bellies = Mathematics Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rosselle","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10189638"},{"teacherId":4020614,"projectId":9552545,"letterContent":"On behalf of the entire team at Brevard High School, I am writing to express our profound gratitude for your generous donation. Your commitment to empowering young learners is a powerful endorsement of our mission, and we are incredibly grateful for your trust and support.\r\n\r\nYour generosity goes directly to the heart of what we do: bridging the resource gap for students in our community. Your gift is a direct investment in the hands and minds of children who are eager to learn but lack the fundamental resources to do so effectively.\r\n\r\nTo put this into perspective, your gift will immediately provide every student taking a science class the opportunity to have headphones available for classroom activities and assessments. This means that because of your kindness, more students will be able to perform experiments, read engaging stories, and explore their creative potential. You are not just giving us money; you are giving students the opportunity to learn, discover, and build a brighter future for themselves.\r\n\r\nWe are honored to have you as a partner in our work.
