But in my classroom, one of the very first things students now notice is our beautiful new rug. This rug has quickly become the heart of our learning space—a place where we gather together for morning meetings, read-alouds, lessons, and special moments as a class family. Before this project was funded, my students and I didn't have a cozy, dedicated spot to come together on the floor. We had to sit in scattered spots that made it hard to feel like a true community. Now, thanks to your generosity, we have a defined space that brings us closer together and gives us a sense of belonging.\r\n\r\nThe day the rug arrived was filled with pure joy and excitement. My students' eyes lit up the moment they saw it rolled out across our classroom. Several of them immediately laid down on it, giggling, while others traced the colorful designs with their hands, marveling that this was ours. For many of my students, school is not just a place to learn but also a safe and comforting environment where they can feel secure and loved. This rug has given them a spot to feel grounded, calm, and connected, whether we're practicing math strategies, diving into a new story, or sharing about our weekends during morning meeting. \r\n\r\nIn just a short time, this rug has transformed the atmosphere of our classroom. It has provided structure, comfort, and an inviting place for students to gather side by side. It's where students learn to listen to one another, where friendships are strengthened, and where confidence grows. A classroom rug may seem like a small addition, but for my students, it has made an enormous difference. It has turned our classroom into more than just four walls filled with desks—it has made it feel like a home. I cannot thank you enough for your generosity and kindness in providing this gift. You have touched the lives of my students in a meaningful way, giving them not only a place to sit and learn, but a place to feel that they belong.
