They immediately got into their chairs and tried it out. No more stomping on the floor or kicking their feet constantly. They simply place their feet on the bands and wiggled away!\r\n\r\nI put the stools and blue sitting balls at our small group learning tables. I immediately noticed how engaged my students were when working with me. Having the different seating gave them a much needed break from their classroom chairs. My orchestra students have really enjoyed having upgraded shoulder rests and it has been more comfortable for them to play compared to their old shoulder rests! They have also really enjoyed our brand new strings and we have already put some to use replacing old and worn out strings!\r\n\r\nMy elementary music students have been able to use our guiros and hand drums in music class through an activity called sound stories, where students read a story and we choose instruments to play for some of the important parts of the story! They loved getting to experience the new drums, especially because the drums have a mallet with them and they have never gotten to play a drum like that before in class!\r\n\r\nWe are so grateful to have our new items for the rest of this school year and many years ahead.
