With more than 90 students rotating through my classroom each day, maintaining organization is a constant challenge—especially with limited storage. The materials funded through this grant will directly support our New Year goal-setting and 2024 Vision Board project by providing students with the canvases, markers, and tools they need to reflect on their growth and set meaningful goals for the year ahead.\r\n\r\nHowever, the greatest long-term impact will come from the functional storage solutions. A 5-tier bookcase will become the central hub for student materials, ensuring all supplies are easy to see, easy to access, and easy to put away. This visibility and structure empower students to take responsibility for the organization of our shared space. Instead of asking where items are, students will confidently locate what they need, make choices independently, and return materials to their designated places—building independence, ownership, and respect for the classroom environment.\r\n\r\nThe baker's rack with a built-in power outlet will streamline high-traffic areas by providing a dedicated space for electric pencil sharpeners and various types of paper. This eliminates clutter, reduces congestion, and helps maintain the flow of class activities.\r\n\r\nImproved teacher workspace is also a key part of this project's impact. After moving classrooms last year, I was left with limited personal desk space. Having adequate room for my computer, printer, files, and teaching materials will allow me to stay organized and model the same expectations I set for my students. This space will also create an inviting area for one-on-one conferences—fostering meaningful conversations, stronger relationships, and personalized academic support.\r\n\r\nOverall, this project enhances student ownership, supports creative expression, improves classroom systems, and strengthens the learning environment for every student who enters my room. Your support directly contributes to a more organized, efficient, and student-centered classroom where learning can truly thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1712927816263,"projectUrl":"project/new-year-new-goals/8123502/","projectTitle":"New Year, New Goals!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ange","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8990927_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y1008&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1687363343247","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8990927"},{"teacherId":3606353,"projectId":9169466,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity.
