Using a scanner in the classroom offers many valuable benefits for both the children and well as myself. It allows me to preserve and document children's work by creating digital copies of artwork, writing, and projects, which can later be used in portfolios or progress records. Scanners make it easy to share children's accomplishments with families through emails, or slideshows, strengthening the home–school connection. They also support literacy and creativity by enabling me to turn children's drawings and dictated stories into class books or learning displays, helping students feel proud of their work. Additionally, scanning promotes organization by reducing paper clutter and keeping records easily accessible. It introduces children to basic technology in a developmentally appropriate way, showing them how their creations can be shared and saved digitally. Scanned work can even be reused for learning materials or classroom activities. Overall, a scanner is a simple yet powerful tool that enhances learning, communication, and creativity in the early childhood environment.\r\nWhen I did a sample piece of artwork with the children, they were so excited to try and push the button to start the scan. The children love to grab a scott rag and help wrap up spills as so as they happen. The Rags has been so convenient because you can tear them to child size lenght,just right for their hands. My foster grandma uses the rags for so many clean up activities, from artwork to setting the lunch tables. The tide pods has allowed me to wash any dirt items that happens in a short period of time.
