At this age, children are still learning how to manage their emotions, focus their attention, and participate in group learning experiences. Having access to engaging books and sensory fidgets has allowed us to create a more supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nThe books have been a wonderful addition to our classroom library! My students enjoy exploring the illustrations, listening to stories, and participating in conversations about what we read. During our read-alouds, I have been able to introduce new vocabulary, encourage students to make predictions, and ask questions that strengthen their comprehension and critical-thinking skills. It is especially rewarding to see students independently selecting books, turning the pages, discussing the pictures, and sharing stories with their classmates. These experiences are helping build the foundational literacy skills they will need as they continue their educational journey.\r\n\r\nThe sensory fidgets have been equally valuable in supporting our students' social-emotional development. In a Pre-K classroom, every child has different needs, and some students require additional support to regulate their emotions, manage their energy, or maintain their attention during learning activities. The fidgets provide a developmentally appropriate tool that students can use when they need help staying calm and focused.
