My students love reading these interesting nonfiction books about animals, space, and other engaging science topics.\r\n\r\nI currently have twenty-three students in my first grade classroom. Every morning, I divide the students into five groups for reading instruction. Each student reads a book at their level with me and their small group every day. This requires a tremendous amount of books to meet the needs of every student. I want my students to read 180 books for each of the 180 days of school. The current literacy lab at my school simply does not have enough books to meet the diverse reading levels of all of the students in my class. The high quality and engaging books purchased with your donation has allowed my students to not only learn to read but to love reading!\r\n\r\nDaily instruction and practice in reading will create successful and confident readers that will excel in school and in life.
