These new indoor recess materials have already made a tremendous impact on our classroom. The first time our preschoolers walked in and saw the balance beam, stepping stones, yoga cards, and carnival games set up, their faces absolutely lit up. One of my favorite moments so far was watching a student who is usually hesitant with new activities proudly walk across the balance beam, beaming with confidence as his classmates cheered him on.\r\nWe are using these resources every day, not just during indoor recess but also during movement breaks and small-group centers. The balance beam and stepping stones have become part of a mini \"adventure path\" that students help design, encouraging both creativity and gross-motor development. The yoga cards have quickly become a class favorite; students love taking turns being the \"yoga leader,\" guiding their peers through calming poses. \r\nThanks to you, our next steps involve incorporating these materials into upcoming lessons about body awareness, spatial understanding, and emotional regulation. Students will use the yoga cards during our mindfulness routines, and we will be integrating the stepping stones into obstacle-course challenges tied to problem-solving and counting skills. Your generosity has turned indoor recess into a time of meaningful learning, movement, and connection.
