We have cozy spots where students can read for enjoyment and learn to love the act of reading for fun. We have an eclectic group of kids that loves to read a wide range of topics from history to graphic novels and science fiction genres. \r\n\r\nWith our new books I am using them to teach novel studies. This is where I have a small group of students that read and discuss the chapters. We also answer comprehension questions and rewrite the ending. The students especially enjoy adding their creative spin when we rewrite the endings. \r\n\r\nOur new books allow us to enjoy and experience adventures that some of us would not have. When you open a book you are opening doors and opportunities for kids to explore. With these new adventures students are discovering new job opportunities, new places to travel, new food to enjoy, and making lasting connections through reading.
