My students were thrilled, when I shared all of the packaged and boxed snacks that were sent to us. I have been using the treats as a part of my behavior incentives, attendance rewards, and testing boosts for sustained energy. \r\n My first-graders look forward to reaching behavior goals, because they know they have an opportunity to choose from the different food items. They almost always choose the food, because honestly they get hungry in the afternoons. When I administered the beginning of the year DIBELS testing, I gave them some of the nutritious snacks in ziplock bags. The snacks kept them focused. They took their time on the test, and I had impressive results. \r\n In summary, please accept my heartfelt thanks for fulfilling our project request. The kids have been so happy. My class attendance is excellent. The kids are learning how to regulate their behaviors and appreciate being rewarded. I cannot thank you enough for the impact you have made in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1749410657844,"projectUrl":"project/astros-rocket-to-the-stars-class-suppl/9286307/","projectTitle":"Astros! Because of your donation, my students now have access to engaging and diverse books that are sparking a true love of reading.\r\n\r\nSeveral of my students who previously struggled to find books that captured their interest have become avid readers, especially drawn to the My Weird School series. Thanks to you, we now have a full collection in our classroom, and many students have eagerly read every single one! It has been such a joy to see their excitement grow and to watch them recommend books to one another.\r\n\r\nWe have a dedicated 45-minute independent reading time each day, and the increase in student engagement has been noticeable. More students are choosing to read, staying focused longer, and discussing the books with their peers. The new additions to our library have truly transformed our reading time.\r\n\r\nOur classroom is proudly diverse, and your support has also allowed us to introduce books that reflect and celebrate that diversity. These books not only affirm students' identities but also broaden their understanding of others—a perfect complement to our school-wide theme of celebrating diversity. Several parents have even reached out to ask about the titles their children are enjoying and have purchased copies for home.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping me create a richer, more inclusive reading environment for my students.
