Because of you, students will be able to continue the tesselation legacy project for fifth grade students that I have started at each of my schools. The students really look forward to this project as it is a way for them to leave their mark on the art room. This project is based on the artist MC Escher and his work with \"perfect shapes\", or tessellations, that fit together like a puzzle. Students get their own 3D printed lizard and get to design it however they like, keeping in mind that it will be added to the continued legacy project. This project is the beginning of a unit on tessellations, and students will design their own perfect shape from there following a formula. \r\nNow that there is a 3D printer in the art room I cannot wait to see how I can expand it's use and incorporate it into other projects for all grades. \r\nThank you again for your support and allowing technology to be more easily accessible in the art room.","fullyFundedDate":1742945149308,"projectUrl":"project/bringing-creative-visions-to-life-3d-pr/9177311/","projectTitle":"Bringing Creative Visions to Life: 3D Printer for Elementary Art","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Puckett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4596678_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1698190873848","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4596678"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_2713","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":338,"numTeachers":34,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":17,"percentWhite":48,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":21,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"9.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":54.4,"schoolId":2713,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Lowell Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Lowell Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/gaston-county-school-district/lowell-elementary-school/2713"}
