We are also able to share these supplies with the other 8th grade science team at my school, so even more students are able to benefit from your gift.\r\n\r\nWhen the supplies were delivered to the school and I started unpacking them, the students were so curious and amazed that people would help make sure they had materials they needed for school. The very first activity we did with the new supplies was to model the water distribution on Earth. The graduated cylinder sets worked perfectly for these activities.\r\n\r\nWe are starting a new unit on energy and we will be using the thermometers for an activity on solar energy. Students will place a thermometer under a piece of black paper and under a piece of white paper. We will use a lamp over each and record the temperatures under each color. These are simple activities, but they wouldn't be possible if we didn't have the supplies you helped us get.
