Because of your donation, what began as an idea transformed into a meaningful and memorable experience for our students—one filled with joy, connection, and a sense of belonging that will stay with them far beyond the event itself.\r\n\r\nFrom the moment the project began, the excitement among the children was unmistakable. The atmosphere you helped create was vibrant and magical, allowing students to step into a space where they could laugh, explore, and simply be kids. For many of them, opportunities like this are rare, and your contribution ensured that every child was included in something special. Watching their faces light up—literally and figuratively—was a powerful reminder of the impact that generosity can have.\r\n\r\nBeyond the fun and celebration, Glow, Snow, and Celebrate provided something even deeper. It created a safe and engaging environment where students could build relationships, practice teamwork, and strengthen their social-emotional skills. These moments of shared joy foster a sense of community and help students feel more connected to one another and to their school. Your support made it possible to nurture not only happiness, but also growth.\r\n\r\nThe students truly enjoyed every moment. Whether they were immersed in the glowing activities, engaging with their peers, or simply taking in the experience, there was a sense of wonder that filled the space. These are the kinds of experiences that children carry with them—the ones they talk about days later, the ones that make them feel seen and valued. That is the lasting impact of your generosity.\r\n\r\nAs an educator, it means so much to be able to provide opportunities like this. Your donation didn't just fund a project—it created memories, strengthened connections, and contributed to a positive school culture where students feel supported and inspired. It also reinforced an important lesson for our students: that there are people who care about them and are willing to invest in their happiness and success.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in this vision and for making it possible. Your kindness and commitment to supporting students has made a real difference. Glow, Snow, and Celebrate was more than an event—it was an experience filled with laughter, learning, and light, all made possible because of you.\r\n\r\nWith sincere appreciation, thank you for helping us create something truly unforgettable.","fullyFundedDate":1769293752966,"projectUrl":"project/glow-snow-and-celebrate/10047433/","projectTitle":"Glow, Snow, and Celebrate!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mena","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5025046_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1512594403816","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5025046"},{"teacherId":10361845,"projectId":10014339,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our 4th-grade classrooms at Winding Springs Elementary School. Thanks to your support through Donors Choose, our students now have access to engaging new books, interactive games, essential materials, and flexible furniture that have completely transformed our learning space. The excitement in the room was electric when the boxes arrived, and the new setup has already improved student focus and fostered a deeper love for reading and collaboration. \r\n\r\nWith the new books and materials, my students are diving into deeper research and independent reading, while the flexible furniture provides a comfortable, inviting environment for them to work together. The learning games have not only brought joy into our daily routine but have also helped strengthen their reading and math skills in a fun, hands-on way. This generous gift has given my 4th graders the tools they need to become more independent learners and has boosted their enthusiasm for school. \r\n\r\nWe cannot thank you enough for investing in the future of these children. Since receiving the materials, we have already been using them in our sessions every day. Some of my preschool students have been working on a variety of goals, such as labeling, describing, and following multi-step directions, and they have especially loved using the playdough and building materials during speech sessions.\r\n\r\nThe CVC word picture magnets have also been incredibly useful for my younger students when targeting speech sound errors, as they are able to clearly identify and label pictures. I've used the picture magnets in activities like \"Feed the Monster,\" where students say the target CVC word shown on the magnet and then place it into the mouth of a small toy monster. Even my older students have been highly motivated during sessions, working hard so they can earn time at the end to play a new game or use the playdough.\r\n\r\nThe students were so excited when I shared that we had new materials to use in speech sessions. They immediately asked to start using them after learning about your generous support. Since receiving these resources, I have noticed increased engagement and enthusiasm as new and meaningful materials are incorporated into therapy sessions.\r\n\r\nWith the end of the school year approaching quickly, students have been working hard to reach their goals and develop speech and language skills that will help them succeed in the classroom and in everyday life. These resources have been a much-needed boost in morale and engagement as we head into the final stretch of the school year.\r\n\r\nNot only have these resources been loved by the students, but I have also enjoyed finding creative ways to incorporate them into therapy. When students are regulated, their brains and bodies are in an optimal state to access instruction, engage in learning tasks, and demonstrate their academic abilities. These materials provide students with the tools they need to manage strong emotions, reduce stress, and return to class ready to learn.\r\n\r\nThroughout the day, students consistently utilize the sensory room as a proactive and responsive support. This access allows them to recognize when they are becoming dysregulated and take appropriate steps to regain control. As a result, we are seeing increased time on task, improved focus, and a greater ability for students to participate meaningfully in classroom instruction. Students are not only learning academic content, but also developing essential self-regulation skills that directly impact their overall achievement.\r\n\r\nThe availability of the sensory room has been a true game changer for both students and staff. Teachers are better able to maintain instructional flow, while students are empowered with strategies to support their own learning and behavior. By addressing students' sensory and emotional needs, we are removing barriers to learning and creating more equitable access to the curriculum.\r\n\r\nThank you for your continued support in providing these essential resources. The positive impact on student success is evident, and the sensory room will continue to be a critical component in fostering both academic growth and social-emotional development.","fullyFundedDate":1768155720484,"projectUrl":"project/creating-calm-expanding-sensory-support/9987235/","projectTitle":"Creating Calm: Expanding Sensory Supports for Student Well-Being","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Mena","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5025046_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1512594403816","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5025046"},{"teacherId":9330294,"projectId":9093054,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom through your generous gift of a tricycle and books about wheels! The moment the tricycle was brought out, the students' faces lit up with pure excitement. They eagerly took turns pedaling and exploring, and it quickly became a favorite choice during outdoor play. The tricycle has not only supported their gross motor development but has also encouraged cooperative play and turn-taking.\r\n\r\nThe books about wheels have been the perfect addition to our ongoing wheels and movement study. We've used them during our morning meetings and small group time to explore how things move and what wheels are used for. One of our favorite moments was when a student made the connection between the illustrations in a book and the tricycle we received — proudly pointing out, \"This one has two wheels just like ours!\"\r\n\r\nYour support gave our students a hands-on learning experience that deepened their understanding and made learning joyful. Next, we plan to extend this curiosity by exploring how different kinds of vehicles move and even creating our own classroom book about wheels and transportation.
