When my 7th-grade students first saw the new digital thermometers, accurate scales, and heat lamps, they rushed to explore the new tools, and several students immediately began brainstorming experiments they could finally do now that we had reliable equipment.\r\n\r\nThe new tools will allow students to measure temperature and mass in our surroundings so we can then further explore, interpret and graph data. \r\n\r\nYour support hasn't just upgraded our equipment—it's uplifted our entire classroom environment. My students are more engaged, more curious, and more confident in their abilities. They feel like true scientists, and that shift in mindset is priceless. The portable nets have allowed us to incorporate new games such as Bound Ball and Soccer Tennis, they have also allowed us to involve more students in multiple smaller sided games of volleyball and Badminton. \r\nUsing the portable nets and the pickle ball paddles together we have been able to teach a unit of pickle ball which was previously unknown to a lot of the students. They enjoy playing and often ask when will be the next time we play if we have not played in a few days.\r\nThe students have been excited about the new equipment. Being able to break off into smaller groups to play familiar games such as soccer, 4-square and volleyball.
