I have been using them with my 6th grade girls group and I have seen real growth in most of them. The students have used these journals to explore their emotions and why they feel the way the do. Many of them have had a great deal of trauma in their lives and no one has ever taught them how to deal with the world around them so every week, we work on a new skill. \r\n\r\nWe have worked on finding the good within ourselves and living to our potential and recognizing the good in others. We all want, need, and deserve respect. This group has already been transformative and we have several more months together with these journals.
