My students and I have already begun using the materials during our current science unit, and they have made a noticeable difference in both engagement and understanding. One moment that really stood out was when students were able to work hands-on with the materials during a class activity—students who are usually quiet were excited to participate, ask questions, and explain their thinking to their classmates. It was amazing to see their confidence grow as they interacted with the resources you helped provide.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, their reactions were priceless. There were lots of smiles, excitement, and comments like, \"This makes science more fun!\" and \"This feels like real science.\" They were eager to use everything right away, and it immediately created a positive buzz in the classroom. Having updated, high-quality resources made students feel valued and motivated, and it showed them that others truly care about their learning experience.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our next steps include diving deeper into our current lesson through collaborative projects and hands-on investigations that help students apply what they are learning to real-world situations. Students will continue working together to analyze data, explain scientific concepts, and build skills that go beyond memorization. Thank you again for giving my students this opportunity. Your support has made a lasting impact on our classroom, and we are incredibly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1758202843331,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-future-scientists-with-the-basic/9517359/","projectTitle":"Fueling Future Scientists with the Basics","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Burnette","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9819327"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_2226","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":835,"numTeachers":47,"percentFrplEligible":52,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":21,"percentWhite":47,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":23,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"17.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":89.8,"schoolId":2226,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Western Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Western Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/alamance-burlington-school-system/western-middle-school/2226"}
