Your generosity has enabled us to purchase Vocabulary.com. We use this resource every single day. It has changed the way we access vocabulary practice and has increased our students' vocabulary usage. It allows our students to see multiple definitions and usages of the assigned words so they can see how the word can be used in a variety of situations.\r\n\r\nI will be honest that the students were not crazy about having their vocabulary practice changed from paper to an online format. They all grumbled that it was much harder. After two weeks, the students realized that even though it was a bit a harder, it was worth it. They were able to use the assigned words in multiple situations and felt a lot more confident. It has paid off on testing too. We just had our third check-in and our highest scores were on the vocabulary related questions!\r\n\r\nWithout your help, our students would not have been able to use this platform and we can never thank you enough. Not only have our students grown by using this product,\r\nmany of them are using it as a challenge to see how many points they can score which means they are learning for fun! We are hoping to get the funding to purchase it again for the next school year. To wake up to the email that my project was funded was a wonderful Christmas present. When we came back from break, the students were thrilled to hear that the project was funded. They couldn't wait to see everything that I had gotten for them through your generosity.\r\n The students were excited about having new notebooks. A lot of my students were telling me they needed new notebooks because the one they had had been used to capacity. I was so happy to be able to hand them out. I had run out of pencils before break so students were happy to see my drawer where I normally keep pencils stocked to the brim with sharpened pencils.\r\n With the tissues and paper towels will be so helpful! We have many spills and runny noses thanks for it being flu/covid season. I know they will come in handy very soon!
