Your kindness has made a meaningful impact on our students by helping create a calming space where they feel supported, understood, and safe.\r\n\r\nThe items you provided serve as invaluable tools for students who struggle with school-related anxiety. These resources offer them comfort, a sense of security, and a much-needed distraction during challenging moments. More than that, they foster meaningful connections, allowing me to build trust and serve as a supportive presence in their school journey.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, our students have a space where they can take a deep breath, reset, and feel empowered to navigate their challenges. My students are in the process of creating their Mindful bottles filled with sparkling glitter and sequins. These bottles will allow them to practice emotional regulation and bring a sense of calm in their busy day. Most children struggle with anxiety and mental health issues that do permit them to feel calm and emotional regulation. This emotional stress impacts their ability to concentrate and learn. \r\n\r\nWhen students see their finished Mindful bottle that they created, they beam with joy on their faces and shout, \"This is amazing.\" I have seen their bodies and mind begin to calm. Students who rarely smile, are showing smiles from ear to ear. When their emotions begin to become unmanageable, they reach for their bottles and begin to breathe slowly. \r\n\r\nWhat a joy as an educator it is to see students embrace their own peace and calm. Your donation has provided this opportunity for my students. I cannot thank you enough. I am so grateful to this program for offering funding to support students and families across the country, as this type of supplementation is so desperately needed to fill in the gaps left by most school districts budgets. \r\n\r\nMy students have been thrilled to engage with the many new Legos, big and small, that have found a new home in my therapy playroom. My students eyes simply light up when they come into my space and see all the choices for play now at their disposal. \r\n\r\nArt is also an important part of the therapy process- play and art are used when words cannot be accessed or are simply not known. My students and I are incredibly thankful for the generous support, which has made a significant difference in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThanks to these donations, students who previously did not have access to headphones now have their own sets. This has allowed them to engage with audiobooks, listen to texts being read aloud, and enjoy music during class. This support alleviates the financial burden on parents who may struggle to purchase these essential items.\r\n\r\nThe fidget tools, including sand art, squishes, and spiky rings, have proven to be extremely beneficial for the social and emotional health of my students.
