There has been so much generosity that has truly made a significant impact on my students.\r\n\r\nThe barstools and high top tables are always filled in each of my class periods and I have students asking on a daily basis if they can have a turn sitting there. Kids are even rushing to be the first to class so that they can claim a spot!\r\n\r\nI have even had students from past years come in to see what all of the hype is about that they are hearing in the hallways. \r\n\r\nI have found these tables extremely helpful for my students who need the option to stand or need to take standing breaks throughout a class period. Many of these students have really appreciated that they can stand unnoticed by their peers. It has also been extremely helpful for small group work as I can shift the tables to face each other and easily join to provide small group instruction.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the chair bands have been a huge hit. Many of my students who need a handheld fidget are finding that they can fidget with their feet instead, allowing them to be hands free and able to more easily complete their work.\r\n\r\nLastly, the lap desk is so popular with my high school students. They love the option to sit along the windows and still be able to work on their Chromebook.\r\n\r\nI cannot express enough how much these items have changed the learning environment for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1750177782225,"projectUrl":"project/flex-space-for-future-writers/9320320/","projectTitle":"Flex Space for Future Writers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Olszewski","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10014606"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_21877","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":193,"numTeachers":16,"percentFrplEligible":34,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":58,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":34,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"12.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":23.3,"schoolId":21877,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Webutuck High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Webutuck High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/webutuck-central-school-district/webutuck-high-school/21877"}
