Your donations have given us a surplus of these supplies that are still being used with my new group of students this year!\r\n\r\nTeachers Pay Teachers is a wonderful online platform where other teachers around the country sell engaging resources they create and use in their classrooms. I was able to purchase lots of resources, but our favorite purchases were for the last week of school! My 1st grade team did a week of themes to celebrate the end of school. Thanks to you, we were able to purchase themed days for Disney Day, Beach Day, Camping Day, Safari Day, and Hollywood Day. We made so many great memories! We are adjusting to learning the curves of the 3D printer that your generous donations have allowed us to obtain. This tool has added so much to our STEM lessons, where students can create their own objects that they design!\r\n\r\nOur 3D printer has really sparked an interest in learning for everyone, as they are always eager for a turn to use it. Not only have students been engaged in designing their own projects, but they have also learned a sense of patience with using the machine (some projects take several hours to complete). The students ask, daily, if we are going to be using the printer. I only wish we had more school hours to use it! It has been an amazing experience so far, as students that I have who sometimes are hard to engage are now fully interested in what we are doing. \r\n\r\nI noticed that I had some students who did not understand what a 3D printer was or how it worked. Once we have gotten past the initial set up and have had time to use it, everyone in the class is invested! My students keep coming up with new ideas, not only for in the classroom, but for items that could be used in the everyday world as well. I only hope this encourages them to keep on expanding their minds, as the possibilities are endless!!
