Because of your generosity, my 5th grade students now have the essential tools they need to strengthen their math skills and fully access assistive technology in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe solar-powered calculators are already making a difference—students who once got stuck on basic math facts are now able to move forward with confidence, focusing on problem-solving and higher-level thinking. I've seen their frustration turn into pride as they realize they can work more independently.\r\n\r\nThe headphones have been just as impactful. They allow each student to use text-to-speech and other learning supports without distractions, giving them privacy and helping them stay engaged. For many of my students, this means accessing lessons in a way that finally feels comfortable and empowering.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has not only provided resources, but it has also built confidence, independence, and joy in learning. Our TV has totally transformed our Physical Education classes to a more inclusive environment for all of our learners, it is bringing more of a visual aspects to our lessons, and increases classroom engagement. \r\n\r\nAs of right now, we have done 2 units since we received the TV; Pickleball, and jump rope. The students loved seeing what pickleball is suppose to look like while watching a live game of pickleball. They also loved seeing their team names, and bracket tournament up on the big screen for everyone to follow throughout the games. During our jump rope lesson, we are able to put up visuals of different tricks and skills that the students can visually learn how to execute. This allows myself and my co teacher time to walk around and give 1 on 1 help to students who need it. \r\n\r\nThe population this TV really helps the most is our special education students. Before the visuals of the TV, our students weren't able to reach their needs because a lot of them were non verbal, unable to focus, and didn't like to participate in physical education. As of now, all students in our special education classes will watch the TV and complete an entire 9 minute workout without stopping, they're staying focused, they're participating, and they're happy! \r\n\r\nMy students thank you for bringing such a strong tool to our physical education program in order to unlock their full potential.","fullyFundedDate":1733277938311,"projectUrl":"project/smart-tv-for-smarter-learning/8984033/","projectTitle":"Smart TV for Smarter Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Stallone","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4382348_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1524063396877","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/a-stallone"},{"teacherId":3225963,"projectId":8795962,"letterContent":"On behalf of our entire school community, thank you for your incredible support of our project, \"Illuminate Young Minds: Powering the Flash Reading Adventure.\"\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, the whole school was able to participate in our very first Glow in the Zone Flashlight Reading Day—and it was a resounding success!
