With the supplies from my project, we are able to have Board Drill, and participate in Mathematics in a way that is engaging and low-stress. We have used the supplies to review for tests and quizzes, and it has helped my students feel comfortable trying problems, working together, and helping each other understand the math problems even more. I am also able to assess their knowledge and provide individualized feedback in a more natural way.\r\n\r\nMy Geometry students also really appreciate the extra large compass. It is helpful for them to see how they should be performing constructions with a physical model, rather than an electronic representation that doesn't quite match what they do with their compasses. They also really enjoy trying to use the compass - it's a lot more challenging than on paper!\r\n\r\nPlease know that the Board Drill supplies go a long way to helping students enjoy my class, and be less afraid of making mistakes! Many of my students are not intrinsically motivated, so this has been a wonderful source of encouragement for them. \r\nThey also often come to class hungry, and knowing they have a snack option has helped them stay focused on learning rather than their hunger.\r\n\r\nOne great strategy I introduced this year is a raffle system. Students can earn raffle tickets for being on time, being helpful in the classroom or hallways, or putting in extra effort on an assignment. This random distribution of tickets has been very effective because it encourages them to be the best version of themselves while working toward a reward.\r\n\r\nLastly, the \"timer fidgets\" have been a hit as well. Your support means more than you may realize. Having access to this kind of technology makes a profound difference in how they learn and engage with the world around them.\r\n\r\nThis iPad will open up new possibilities for differentiated instruction, personalized learning, and communication support. For example, some students will be able to use writing apps to express themselves in ways they couldn't before. Others will benefit from visual schedules and task management apps that help them stay organized and reduce anxiety. The ability to access interactive learning platforms, calming sensory apps, and educational games tailored to their unique learning styles will significantly boost their participation. In addition, many of my students will be excited when they can listen to audiobooks with text support or create art with digital drawing tools; the iPad will make their learning feel less like a challenge and more like a fun activity.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness and belief in my students' potential.
