Preschool teachers have that special ability to make learning seem like playtime, but the children are actually learning pre-reading and numeracy skills, as well as the social/emotional skills such as sharing and taking turns.\r\n\r\nWith the items that I received through Donors Choose, I was able to enhance that fun learning time. The TPT gift card is helping me to not have to always reinvent the wheel, and allowing me the time to create more fun Center time activities for my students. The playdough and other manipulatives that I received are allowing my students to experience things that some have not had the opportunity to experience before, all the while helping to develop their fine motor skills, which helps them to develop writing skills.\r\n\r\nAs teachers, we tend to purchase many classroom materials ourselves. With the help from people like you, it helps to lighten that load. I hope you know how much we, as teachers, appreciate that help.","fullyFundedDate":1734744622629,"projectUrl":"project/pre-k-is-a-blast/8865512/","projectTitle":"Pre-K Is a Blast!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Glocksien","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9797592"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_22617","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":409,"numTeachers":26,"percentFrplEligible":57,"percentAsian":8,"percentBlack":17,"percentWhite":29,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":37,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":78.8,"schoolId":22617,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Marion G Vedder Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Marion G Vedder Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/north-babylon-union-free-school-district/marion-g-vedder-elementary-school/22617"}
