The students have declared it \"so vintage\" and love learning how to use it! I was surprised how many students have record players at home and have brought their records in to play and share. It has become a real source of joy and community, bringing students into conversations and experiencing something new to them, together.\r\n\r\nI also love how my administrators and teachers are reacting--many of them have come in to tell me about their record collections or their memories from childhood. Our physics teacher wants to teach the kids how to make their own record players ala Mr. Wizard! It also caught the eye of the New York City Public Schools social media team and they plan to feature our library and our record player on their social media feed in January!\r\n\r\nMy original group of seniors who had the suggestion of a record player on the first day of school and inspired this grant have LOVED all of the praise and appreciation they have received, both from me and from their administrators.
