One student exclaimed, \"This looks like a real store!\" Immediately, they began brainstorming roles—cashier, stock clerk, and even \"manager.\" Watching them take ownership of the project was incredible.\r\nHow We're Using the Resources:\r\nRecently, we launched a classroom project where students create snack menus, calculate prices, and practice making change. This hands-on experience reinforces math, communication, and social skills in a meaningful way. It's not just about snacks—it's about building independence and confidence.\r\nNext Steps:\r\nOur next goal is to expand the station into a full vocational training experience. Students will design promotional flyers, track sales data, and learn inventory management. One student said, \"Now I can see everything we're doing this week!\" For many of our learners, especially those with special needs, having a clear, visual representation of time and tasks helps reduce anxiety and builds independence.\r\nWe've been using the calendar to map out our daily routines, special events, and classroom goals. Students now take turns updating it, practicing time management and planning skills. During a recent lesson, one student used the calendar to explain our upcoming community-based activity, pointing out the day, time, and what we'll be doing. It was a proud moment of leadership and communication.\r\nNext steps: We're integrating the calendar into our vocational and academic lessons.
