They help me keep materials clearly labeled and easy to locate, which supports smooth transitions and independent work time. We also use the organizers with math tools, especially during money lessons. The clear bins make it easier for students to access coins, bills, and manipulatives in an organized and predictable way, helping lower‑level learners stay focused and participate more independently. Students can now take materials on their own and put them back without problems. This simple change has helped build their independence and confidence every day.\r\n\r\nMy students were excited to use the new organizers. They immediately felt more structured and confident because everything had a clear place. The organizers have also improved our teaching efficiency, especially when working with multiple staff members or float staff. The clear labels and consistent systems save time and reduce repeated explanations throughout the day.\r\n\r\nWe will continue to use the organizers to support our independent work systems, classroom centers, and daily routines. The organized setup helps students take on more responsibility and practice important organizational skills. We are also incorporating sensory toys into our lessons to support student regulation and help maintain their focus throughout the day. In addition, the organizers greatly support our math center by helping lower‑level students access manipulatives in clear, structured, and meaningful ways. This makes math activities—especially money lessons—easier to understand, more engaging, and more independent. These tools will allow us to expand our structured work tasks and continue building toward new academic, social, and self‑help goals throughout the school year.","fullyFundedDate":1765152966405,"projectUrl":"project/organized-spaces-calm-minds-sensory-to/9567611/","projectTitle":"Organized Spaces, Calm Minds: Sensory Tools for Students with Autism","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Yan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9747079_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760296909138","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9747079"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_108790","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":74,"percentAsian":14,"percentBlack":16,"percentWhite":12,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":34,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":74.1,"schoolId":108790,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Queens Transition Center P752Q-Gateway High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Queens Transition Center P752Q-Gateway High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/p752q-gateway-high-school/108790"}
