One of the most exciting ways we've used the Nuggets so far was by creating an interactive pretend campground right in our library. Our students learn best when learning is hands-on and fun, and this experience brought those elements to life. \r\n\r\nThey worked together to turn the Nuggets into tents, used the pillows as \"campfire\" seats, and imagined the circular cushion as a lake where they could go \"fishing\" or relax! \r\n\r\nStudents read books in their tents and sang campfire songs while sitting in a circle on the Nuggets. It was amazing to see how the flexible furniture supported both imaginative play and academic learning. \r\n\r\nThe ability to rearrange the Nuggets has given students more control over their space, which helps them feel calm and cozy. The furniture helps meet their sensory and emotional needs in a way that traditional desks and chairs simply can't.\r\n\r\nWe plan to continue building themed learning experiences like our campground. These moments of play have had a powerful impact on our school community. Thank you for helping us create a space where every student feels excited to learn.","fullyFundedDate":1746758197150,"projectUrl":"project/comfort-calm-in-our-library/9286027/","projectTitle":"Comfort & Calm in Our Library","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Restivo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp721883_orig.png?crop=186,186,x6,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1745433232744","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jrestivo"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_133771","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":74,"percentAsian":14,"percentBlack":16,"percentWhite":12,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":34,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":90.0,"schoolId":133771,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about P23Q@841 on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"P23Q@841","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/p23q-841/133771"}
