Your kindness has made a meaningful impact on our students, and we are incredibly grateful for your investment in their learning.\r\n\r\nWhat makes Scholastic Scope especially powerful is how it supports students in learning how to read closely and think deeply about text. These magazines introduce and strengthen essential literacy skills such as identifying the main idea, making inferences, analyzing characters, comparing texts, and using evidence to support answers. The articles also expose students to rich vocabulary and engaging nonfiction topics, helping them build background knowledge while improving comprehension.\r\n\r\nOur students have especially enjoyed reading fiction stories such as First Day Fly and Good Enough, which help them understand themes related to fitting in and belonging. They have also been deeply engaged in reading the nonfiction text My Life as a Refugee, which has helped them better understand the impact of war on children's lives. Reading in our classroom is an active and engaging process. Students participate in shared reading, small-group discussions, and independent reading activities using the magazines. They highlight key details, answer text-based questions, and engage in thoughtful conversations with their peers. The engaging topics and visuals in Scholastic Scope motivate students to participate, even those who may typically feel hesitant during reading activities.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped create a love of reading and learning in our classroom.
