Once the resources arrived and students began using them, I saw right away that having snacks and comfort items made a real difference in their focus, mood, and readiness to learn. The students were excited to see the new materials and liked having a classroom that supported their needs. What began as a small comfort soon became part of our daily routine and helped make the classroom a place where students felt cared for and ready to participate.\r\n\r\nThe biggest difference showed up during testing season and when we were getting ready for state tests. At first, I wasn't sure that something so simple would help students do better, but I saw the results quickly. Students who usually arrived tired, distracted, or anxious settled down faster and stayed focused longer. Instead of feeling hungry or uncomfortable, they could focus on their work and get through tough testing sessions. I saw them have more stamina, better focus, and more confidence during independent work and tests. Some students even started asking for snacks before testing because they noticed how much it helped them feel ready and calm.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we will keep using these resources in our classroom, not just during testing season. We plan to use them during small-group lessons, intervention times, independent work, and whenever students need a quick break before getting back to learning.
