It is especially important that they enjoy the book they are reading in order to encourage a lifelong love for reading and build their reading stamina. It is sometimes difficult for students to connect with reading and especially hard when the books do not interest them or they cannot relate to the books. These books you helped provide are diverse and allow my students to see themselves and their families represented in the books. Also, the graphic novels you helped buy are wonderful for engaging different types of learners.\r\n\r\nWhen my students were presented with the new books, I saw the smiles on their faces and heard excitement.
