Parents could not take off from they struggling jobs to stay home with their kids. The students have been coming to school coughing and fever. The flu season has been influencing the attendance in school. The disinfecting wipes and the spray have bee such a great help. At the end of the day, i wipe the desks and spray the classroom in order for the students to have a clean desk to their work. We have less students that stay home because they feel their environment is clean. They were homesick. They did not speak the English language. They were very concern that they would forget their own culture. There were few books around the school that represented them in the school. The books came and there were great changes even in their behavior. They started having a voice in the classroom. They shared the stories with their classmates. Th e both that were written in both languages were the most shared in the classroom. On behalf of the students, I would like to say thank you. The books have made an impact in the lives of not only the students but also the students that were born in the United States.
