To help support them with their reading stamina, we launched an independent reading initiative across all four grades where we would purposefully integrate protected reading time into their English classes. The challenge? We did not have classroom libraries for students to borrow books from. Without a classroom library, our initiative would have never worked because students would have had to bring books from home. \r\n\r\nThanks to your generous support, we have built a classroom library that is the envy of the school. Students now design and wear custom t-shirts that celebrate their attendance achievements—bringing both excitement and pride to our halls. This initiative has already improved our attendance rate from 92% to 94%.\r\n\r\nBefore, recognition for attendance was limited to simple certificates. Now, students not only receive personalized shirts—they help design them. This hands-on creativity has boosted student engagement, ownership, and motivation. One student who previously struggled with absenteeism even shared, \"I didn't want to miss school because I wanted to see if my design would be picked.\"\r\nThrough this project, students are also gaining valuable experience with technology, design software, collaboration, and self-expression.\r\nSome items on the list where out of stock, therefore we replaced them with 2 class pets, and we used the funds you provided to get these fish. Students come in daily to feed the fish and maintain them. Those students have improved their attendance because they have to come in to feed the fish otherwise the fish will go hungry. \r\n\r\nThank you for your generosity and for believing in our students. We learned how to say all the supplies in French and every student wrote a thank you in French.\r\nYour donation showed students how valuable it is to really engage in learning. My students now have a physical representation to remind them of all that we learned throughout the year. We took 4 trips to the Metropolitan Museum of Art during the year and now they created their own masterpiece. \r\n\r\nI believe that my students felt supported by your generosity.
