All of my scholars were very impressed with the fake fruits that were donated, so much so that it fooled some of them to think they were actually real fruit! They enjoyed being able to choose their own fruits to draw from observation.\r\n\r\nOnce they saw the fruits, they got to choose which ones they wanted to practice drawing. The goal was to practice using line, shape, and value to create the illusion of form using the artificial fruits as a reference. These sketchbooks were a great hit in my class with those who enjoy drawing a lot. Even students that weren't in my class came by my room to ask for sketchbooks when they found out I was giving them out to aspiring artists. \r\n\r\nWe are so grateful for your generous donations! During these stressful and unpredictable times, being able to just sit down and sketch our worries away is a good mental exercise and helps us build up our art skills. Having these sketchbooks available to any student who wishes to practice their drawing skills have been an amazing incentive to our scholars. I have seen them actively engaging in more drawing than usual after giving them their sketchbooks.\r\n\r\nPlease continue to give to the arts in schools! It is very much needed during these difficult times.
