The snacks and headsets provided by your gifts were incredibly appreciated and have already had a positive impact on our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe headsets have become an indispensable tool in our daily English lessons. We're currently working on improving our listening comprehension skills, and the clear sound quality allows students to focus on the nuances of pronunciation and vocabulary. For example, in our current project on British and American accents, students are using the headsets to listen to audio clips, practicing distinguishing between the subtle differences. This is also helping them understand different dialects and broaden their global awareness. My students have found this activity significantly more engaging with the added aid of clear sound. \r\n\r\nThe moment the headsets arrived was truly special! The students' faces lit up; their eyes sparkled with excitement at the thought of clearer audio for their English learning. They were thrilled to have a tool to practice and develop their listening comprehension skills. They were noticeably more engaged during our English listening activities.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our exploration of British and American accents, the next step will involve a class project where students will create their own audio clips to demonstrate their understanding of these accents. This will not only test their listening skills but will encourage creativity, critical thinking, and communication. \r\n\r\nYour generosity not only provided essential resources but also provided a powerful learning experience for my students. Thank you again for being a part of their success story.","fullyFundedDate":1736778609715,"projectUrl":"project/saturday-school-with-snacks/8918755/","projectTitle":"Saturday School with Snacks","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Puello","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9825671_orig.jpg?crop=400,400,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1730739672941","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/puello"},{"teacherId":5807741,"projectId":8896353,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation of healthy snacks for our after-school program. Your support has made a significant impact on my students, especially the English language learners who rely on the after-school program for extra academic support. These students often face long days, and the healthy snacks you provided have given them the energy and motivation to stay engaged and focused as they continue their learning journey. The snacks have not only helped them feel more energized, but they've also fostered a sense of community and well-being in the program.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new snacks, their faces lit up with excitement! Many of them were so grateful to receive something they could enjoy and that would keep them full of energy. This small yet thoughtful gift has motivated them to attend regularly, knowing that they will have a healthy treat to fuel their minds and bodies. For many of my students, it's the boost they need to persevere through challenges and to stay positive, making it easier to focus on mastering content and developing their English language skills.","fullyFundedDate":1729704633216,"projectUrl":"project/full-belly-happy-heart/8896353/","projectTitle":"Full Belly, Happy Heart","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Irizarry","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5807741_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1572918135526","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5807741"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_99492","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":363,"numTeachers":30,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":6,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":79,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"12.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":53.4,"schoolId":99492,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Bronx Bridges High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Bronx Bridges High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/bronx-bridges-high-school/99492"}
