We immediately began incorporating them into our daily literacy and math centers. One of our favorite classroom projects has been our \"Sound Sorting Station,\" where students use magnetic letters, picture cards, and dry-erase boards to practice identifying beginning and ending sounds. These hands-on tools have made phonics lessons much more engaging, and students are showing tremendous progress in their ability to decode and spell words independently.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, their faces lit up with joy and curiosity. They were eager to explore and couldn't wait to start using everything. Many of my students have special learning needs, so having colorful, tactile, and interactive resources has made a huge difference in capturing their attention and building their confidence. It was heartwarming to see them take ownership of their learning and proudly share what they created during small-group activities.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generous support, my classroom is now a more vibrant and engaging learning environment. Our next step is to build on the skills we've been developing by using these materials for a class reading challenge. Each week, students will use the phonics tools to blend sounds, build new words, and create short sentences that we'll display on our \"Word Wall of Fame.\" This ongoing project will help strengthen their reading fluency and vocabulary while continuing to make learning fun and meaningful.","fullyFundedDate":1746445539558,"projectUrl":"project/kindergarten-sped-class/9313488/","projectTitle":"Kindergarten SPED Class","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ambrosio","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1162735_orig.jpg?crop=828,827,x0,y311&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1664712838291","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1162735"},{"teacherId":1162735,"projectId":9210578,"letterContent":"Our classroom has been buzzing with excitement ever since the new resources arrived! My students and I have been using them to support hands-on literacy and phonics activities, especially during our small group rotations. One memorable moment was when my students used the magnetic letters and phonics cards to build CVC words—they were so proud to read them aloud to their classmates! It was heartwarming to see their faces light up with confidence as they realized they could sound out and spell words on their own. These tools have made learning more engaging, interactive, and fun for everyone in our classroom.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, they could hardly contain their excitement. They immediately began exploring and asking if they could \"play school\" using the new supplies. Thanks to these resources, my students are now working on blending and segmenting words as part of our ongoing phonics unit. Our next step is to use these materials to strengthen decoding and encoding skills through literacy centers and small group instruction. The students in my class have had an incredible time so far becoming actively engaged in so many different activities to support their academic and social-emotional needs. The children are learning about shapes with the discovery boxes, working on their pincer grasp with the gum ball game, learning to spell words with the magnetic letters and practice their expressive language and sequencing skills with the Burger Stacking. The interactive activities have been utilized not only during our social-emotional stations in the afternoons but, within our literacy and math lessons in the mornings as well. The materials that you help to fund have become an integral part of our classroom environment. The students are so excited when they see the different materials, especially when they were first introduced into the classroom. As time has passed, they now look forward to seeing these materials in their stations are engaged within active instruction. The resources that were purchased have many different ways that they can be incorporated into the classroom, so as time continues, I am looking forward to exploring additional ways to utilize them within additional lessons and instruction so enhances the opportunities for growth of the students' cognitive and social-emotional abilities. I am truly grateful for the donations and please look for other projects that can I have posted to support other needs of the diverse learners within my classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1733236662920,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-learning-activities-for-truly-e/8800011/","projectTitle":"Hands-On Learning Activities for Truly Exceptional Children","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wills","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9673914_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723695767821","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9673914"},{"teacherId":1162735,"projectId":9165212,"letterContent":"Thank you!
