Your kindness and generosity will have an immediate impact on my students each and every day. Having access to high-quality headphones will provide my students with the tools they need to stay focused, engaged, and successful during independent learning activities.\r\n\r\nMany of my students come from low-income families, and resources like these are not always easily accessible outside of school. Because of your support, you are helping bridge that gap and ensuring all students have equal access to tools that support their learning. Your donation is not just purchasing headphones, it is investing in opportunities for children who deserve every chance to thrive academically.\r\n\r\nHeadphones are an essential part of our classroom environment because they help students minimize distractions and improve concentration. In a busy classroom, being able to listen independently allows students to fully engage with digital lessons, practice important skills, and work at their own pace without interruption. This creates a more productive and supportive learning space for everyone.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, many of our assessments and state tests are now administered online, making headphones more important than ever. These headphones will especially support students who rely on read-aloud accommodations during testing, allowing them to hear directions, passages, and questions clearly and confidently. Thank you again for your generosity and for making such a meaningful difference in the lives of my students. Your support will be felt far beyond this school year.","fullyFundedDate":1778227143539,"projectUrl":"project/tune-in-to-success/10121366/","projectTitle":"Tune In To Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Morris","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9269297_orig.jpg?crop=3022,3022,x0,y141&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757285228066","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9269297"},{"teacherId":9269297,"projectId":9985635,"letterContent":"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donation of our classroom rug. What you gave us is so much more than a learning resource, it has truly transformed the feeling, flow, and sense of community in our classroom.\r\n\r\nFrom the very first day the rug arrived, it immediately became the heart of our space. We use it daily for morning meetings, mini-lessons, read-alouds, partner turn-and-talks, and class discussions. It has become our go-to gathering place, where students feel comfortable sitting together, listening closely, and sharing their ideas. One especially meaningful moment happened during our poetry unit, when students sat together on the rug and volunteered to read their poems aloud. The rug created a calm, welcoming environment where students felt safe taking risks, expressing themselves, and cheering one another on. Seeing their confidence grow in that space was incredibly powerful.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the rug, their reaction said it all. Their faces lit up with excitement, and they immediately rushed over to sit on it, touch it, and admire it. They couldn't stop talking about how soft and inviting it felt. Several students shared that it made the classroom feel warmer and more comfortable, and one even said it felt like \"a place where we can really learn together.\" That initial excitement has continued every single day. Students eagerly ask when we can meet on the rug, and they take pride in keeping it clean and cared for because they know it was a gift given with kindness.\r\n\r\nYour donation gave my students a space that supports both learning and belonging. It has helped foster meaningful conversations, collaboration, and connection among classmates. As we move forward, the rug will continue to be a central part of our classroom as we begin new units that focus on group problem-solving, discussions, and hands-on learning. It will also be used during upcoming projects where students work together, share feedback, and reflect on their learning as a community.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, my classroom feels more like a home and less like just a room with desks. You gave my students a place where they feel comfortable, valued, and excited to learn. Your generosity has made a lasting impact, and it will continue to support my students long after this school year ends.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and for helping create a classroom where learning is joyful, meaningful, and shared.","fullyFundedDate":1769192030016,"projectUrl":"project/road-for-the-rug/9985635/","projectTitle":"Road for the Rug!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Morris","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9269297_orig.jpg?crop=3022,3022,x0,y141&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757285228066","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9269297"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_21091","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":550,"numTeachers":29,"percentFrplEligible":64,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":93,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":1,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":4,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"19.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":87.5,"schoolId":21091,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Cato Meridian Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Cato Meridian Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/cato-meridian-central-school-district/cato-meridian-elementary-school/21091"}
